Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton

4.0

This book helped me get out of my reading slump and for that I’m very thankful. It feels so damn good to finish a physical book again.

I really loved this book at the start, then I went in waves with it. I did go back to loving it again and teared up near the end. A lot of the content in this book felt like what I needed to read at the time, some of it was very relatable, cathartic, inspiring, and things that I will probably think on and work on. Other content in this book felt as my friend Sara said, rather self indulgent. Some things I straight up disagreed with, and while this is an autobiography, I still feel like certain things should have been edited out. I do find that reading memoirs/autobiographies lately have been both interesting and informative and I think I will continue going further down this book genre. I wouldn’t say I’m in a rush to read any other Dolly Alderton books, however, I could see myself reading another book down the road.
