Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh
3.0
My son was reading this as a summer reading book but had to stop because it made him feel sad. I remember loving the book—and the movie—so I decided to re-read it. I can definitely understand his feelings, and the book hit me differently this time. I read it more critically, which then inspired me to read the others in the “series,” plus a Fitzhugh biography, to better understand the context.
