This was probably one of my favorite books I’ve read this year! The story follows multiple narrators which some people dislike, but it really enjoy. I typically try to stay away from crime thrillers. I enjoy them it’s just hard to find a unique one. This is one very unique!!
It follows the story of a missing girl who spend x years with captors to finally escape and make her way back home. She had gone missing 10 years prior after her mother was found to have committed suicide and left a note simply saying the girl was safe. The timeline goes back and forth between the lead up to her disappearance and the aftermath of being found.
I thought this book was exciting and easy to read. It is a little dark with suicide and child abuse but the twists will keep you guessing until the end about what the real story behind her mother’s dead and her disappearance.
