Come Fly With Me by Felicity Snow

I feel like it's a story that could have had a little more depth, or at least the characters. The cause of the separation, although plausible, is also somewhat weak. I mean if they were such friends, and then boyfriends, how come Wesley didn't know what he was going through Cooper? But at the same time, I also understand that adolescence is always overdramatic and confusing, that feelings are felt deeply, that misunderstandings and miscommunications are more common than one believes, and therefore, decisions end up being impulsive, careless and usually wrong, even though there is a lot of love involved. This is the case between Wesley and Cooper. However, we find that almost 10 years later and the characters have not grown much. They continue not to communicate well during much of the story, hiding part of themselves from the other. And acting in the same immature way towards other people, eg, Wesley with his mother. I mean, he's a grown man who should be able to say no to his mother. Of course if that were the case, we wouldn't have this story, right? I also find it strange that despite not having spoken during that time, they know nothing about each other's lives, even though they have close friends in common.

Overall, a sweet story, with steamy moments and a connection between the MCs that is noticeable despite the years they spent apart.

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
