Woah. That was an amazing rollercoaster of a book. I still can’t get my brain wrapped around “infinity”…you think you grasp it and then you stumble upon the chat room and realize you had no idea.

Sci-fi + thriller + mystery + an unrelenting fight for the loves of your life ❤️.

***UPDATE - Read again 2025***
Dark Matter was one of my favorite books from 2023, and I still love it, but I was definitely more critical this time around.

Jason focused SO much on Daniela, but rarely talked about missing his son, Charlie. As a parent, I cannot relate to that and feel it was a flaw in the writing.

How in the world did Jason end up in the lab?? I thought about this when he and Amanda discovered they were influencing where they ended up.

Speaking of Amanda, what the heck?! I found myself really caring for her and almost wishing she and Jason would settle somewhere together and build a life with one another. She was just used and thrown away by the author when she wasn’t needed to advance the plot anymore.

Last thing - the ending felt too easily wrapped up. I couldn’t remember the ending from the first time I read it and I was definitely disappointed this time around.

Overall, I still loved the book. Fast-paced, emotional, and absorbing.
