5/5 ⭐️ stars! When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain by Nghi Vo is an excellent follow up to the Empress of Salt and Sorrow. Readers are once again immersed in a clever story filled with magic that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love this novella series about an enby cleric that collects stories and I can’t wait for the third book to see where Chih’s travels take them next.
