I loved it. It's a whole year of third grade, full of friendships, hurts, prejudices, dreams, distilled in the children's poems. I found myself in tears toward the end. I know some other reviewers mention not liking that lack of any conclusions to the problems presented, but few of the problems can be solved in a year's time. It's more like real life. Most things are out of the kids hands, they are just coping with them the best they can.
