These characters are so messy. Laurel and Susannah really carried this book which is kinda funny considering well... you know. Anyway, overall this book was okay. It was slightly more serious than the first and the characters frequently made choices that infuriated me but it kept my interest at least. There was more of a set plot than the first novel but it felt a bit drawn out at times. There were also a lot of loose ends that I'm hoping get tied up in the third book but we shall see!!
