You, Me, and the Colors of Life by Noa C. Walker
3.0
Janica is a force to be reckoned with. She is vibrant, full of energy and full of a love for life. Due, in part, to a battle with childhood cancer which changed her perspective on all things and made her wholly appreciative.
While walking her dog, she she stops a man about to take his own life. Her father is a psychologist so she enlists his help to help Steffan come to terms with his depression. She meets his brother Thomas who appears to be the exact opposite of Janica. Very stern and serious and reserved with his emotions. Over time Janica and Thomas fall head over heels in love but then tragedy strikes and Janica is given some gut wrenching news about her health.
This is a very emotional book that deals with heavy topics like the deaths of poorly children, the burden of being responsible for the death of an innocent child and facing your own death in the face knowing your time is coming to an end.
Expect to shed lots of tears but also feel the vibrancy of a person like Janica who embraces life whole heartedly and lives every second like its her last.
If you are into weepy stories this is definitely the one for you.
