The author's mature and lovely writing really shines through. Features a diverse cast while raising awareness. The romance (teen!) is healthy. Reading this was therapeutic, my mood was mellow. The characters had depth without it feeling forced, and I experienced growth alongside them step by step. I can still see in my mind's eye Leah, Felix and Ezra arm in arm walking the streets of New York, conquering and growing. They felt real. Book friends
