This series is like catnip to me. It's a lovely blend of historical fiction about the movement for women's suffrage in England, thoughtful ruminations on how to create a life that feels right for you and how to square all your passions and desires, and pure silly fun. Catriona has always been the least fleshed-out and most mysterious of the foursome, and this book did a great job delving deep into what makes her tick and building her out so much. I learned so much about 1800s geography and artifact-stealing (this author always researches incredibly thoroughly, it's impressive), and the push and pull between Elias and Catriona was really satisfying. I also appreciated that we got Annabelle's, Hattie's, and Lucie's perspectives one last time, and the epilogue tied the most perfect bow on this series. I'm sad to finish this series, but really happy I gave it a shot and excited to see what Evie Dunmore comes out with next.
