Glad to be back in Stillwater, where the number of gay/bi single dads is high (must be something in the water)!
Ana always writes lovely and thoughtful stories of beautiful men with depth. Milo and Ellis are no different.
Milo is young and sweet but also strong and resilient. He’s been dealt many blows in life but never gives up. Especially when’s got an infant to care for.
Ellis is an older kindergarten teacher. Steady, caring, and always ready to help out. He’s been hurt though, so he’s shy about the idea of dating, especially a much younger man.
I loved both of them. They were both kind-hearted and wore their hearts on their sleeves, even if they didn’t think they did. I also loved that despite their ages and the imbalance in their financial situations, they also felt like equals. They both had something to bring to the table. The story has enough twists, turns, and emotions to feel complete and engaging without being angsty.
And one would be remiss to not point out the amazing cast of characters around them. A sweet baby girl, a hilarious found grandma, and a pushy sister amongst them. And don’t worry, you get enough of the other Dads of Stillwater to keep you happy.
