An adventurous little book about exploiting a monkey for labor, then shaming and victim blaming him for it. It really isn't supposed to be that deep, but describing it that way feels more on point than the heavy-handed "curiosity broke the monkey's leg" lesson the book attempts to teach. I can't believe I ever forgot the candy-coated darkness of the original books, but at least this one taught me not to jump off high places for fear of breaking bones!
