T.J. writes in a way that is completely distinct to anything I've read in (queer) romances. First of all, you could start one of their books and you would know their the author IMMEDIATELY. Secondly, they don't shy away from writing MCs who are poor uneducated people. While at first I wasn't sure about Strut as a MC, he was simply a good man trying to keep his family safe and afloat. Not only that, the way he falls in love with Lucy was adorable. Lucy was a force of nature. The two of them together were perfect. The storyline was entertaining and keeped me hooked.
