An Academy for Liars by Alexis Henderson
4.0
This was such a fun and atmospheric read. I love a good dark academia book, and this one delivered. It was so good. It sucked me in right from the start, and I couldn’t stop listening to figure out what was going to happen. The audio of this book is fantastic. The narrator did suck a fantastic job of really setting the mood and bringing the characters to life. I loved how messy the main character was. You don’t have to have everything put together in your life to make a difference and that was highlighted here. Frankly she’s a mess, and I loved it. This book had some amazing things going for it; magic, horror, and a little sci-fi. Fantastic. I loved the horror element the most. It paired perfectly with the academia vibes in the book and really added a lot to the story. I feel like I am on a horror kick right now and loving every minute of it. This book just had so much going on and it all worked so wonderfully together.
If you’re looking for a book with a little of everything and dark vibes, then check this one out.
I received this edition in my @evernightbooks box and love it. I listened to the audio thanks to @PRHAudio and @acebookspub
