A dark fairy tale by Silvia Moreno-Garcia that reads like a fable with its morals about love and desire weaved together by magic, the mysteries of the forest, and the darkness behind the idea or hope of a happily ever after. I devoured this short story and wished it was longer as novel just so I could read more.
