What If It's Us by Adam Silvera, Becky Albertalli
5.0
So, I’ll be honest – read these backwards. I was lucky enough to receive an early audio copy and was so mesmerized by this one that when I realized the book on my shelf was the FIRST book and not this one, I had to go back and read that one too. So I did. And I love Ben and Arthur so much more than I can explain to you all in this review.
In the first book – What If It’s Us – Ben is coming to terms with his new break up with Hudson when he meets Arthur at the post office. But they don’t get each other’s information. Arthur is a huge believer in the universe though, and makes it his mission to track down the post office guy. And he DOES!
The first book catalogues their relationship – how it starts, how it grows, what happens when exes reappear, but also what will happen when Arthur leaves NYC at the end of the summer to return to Georgia.
Without giving too much away, the second book – Here’s To Us – picks up where the first one left off, but that's all I'll say here. Check my review on the sequel's page for more :)
I loves being a part of Ben and Arthur’s journey. I loved seeing how it started to how it “ends”. I’d love a book three, in all honesty, but even without it, these two together are an easy 5 stars from me.
