Eileen by Ottessa Moshfegh

3.0

Oh man, this book is very gritty. It certainly doesn’t hold back when putting you into the warped mind of Eileen Dunlop. The book’s first half was a bit slow and repetitive with the self-loathing and messed-up fantasies, but it picked up a little towards the end. I enjoyed reading from the perspective of the darker, perverse main character. I am interested to see how the movie turns out with Ann Hathaway.
