"I love you. if you've come this far, that's all I can say. I love you and I love you and I love you, on battlefields, in shadows, in fading ink, on cold ice splashed with the blood of seals. in the rings of trees. in the wreckage of a planet crumbling to space. in bubbling water. In bee stings and dragonfly wings, in stars. in the depths of lonely woods where I wandered in my youth, staring up– and even then you watched me. you slid back through my life, and I have known you since before I knew you."
this book is honestly quite brilliant, because literally nothing makes sense, yet i loved reading it. when i mean nothing makes sense i mean absolutely NOTHING like genuinely nothing is explained and the whole plot/concept of the book is so bizarre but it's written in such a way that is so captivating and somehow fast-paced and easy to read. it's only 198 pages so i finished it really fast. the writing style of this book was so compelling and there was so much rich, visceral imagery throughout it which really brought me more into the story. honestly i don't have anything more to say than that, this book was so cool and i liked the ending :)
