I’ve wanted to read this book for years, and I’m glad I finally did. It was moving and I couldn’t put it down at points. Julian was precious, and I wanted to protect him at all costs. Adam was a fantastic protagonist and a shining example of what a friend should be.
I felt like there were a few gaps in the plot overall, a few things left unresolved, but overall, I think this was an important story that needed to be told. Abuse is so real, and there are so many kids that endure unspeakable horrors. I hope this book has made more people aware of it and that real-life kids struggling with the same things as Julian will get their justice and happiness.
