The Honeys by Ryan La Sala
5.0
The writing in this book was so lyrical and beautiful and you couldn’t help but hang on every word. This was a more sinister read than appearances lead on. There’s something happening at this camp and Mars needs to find out what before it pulls him under. This took unexpected turns and i enjoyed every minute. I also really loved the underlying themes and the fluidity in it. The teaching moments were so well done. They didn’t feel like a lecture but were so eloquently put that made you connect and feel. Mars was such a beautiful character and i loved his comfort within his self. He had such strength and was able to persevere any obstacle life through at him with such grace. But was still able to knock a bitch when needed, haha! This book will live rent free in my head. Also, the audio was fantastic. There was extra sounds to make you feel like you were there in the scene. Absolutely loved it.
