A well written story of an Asian American girl, whose life choices were decided by her parents.
In this story, we felt Mei's struggle between 'obeying' her parents and stand up for herself. Between loving them and thinking they're absurd and so very conservative.
Growing up in southeast Asia, I can relate much that disobeying ur parents will send u to the deepest hell
