Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz
4.0
Once I got past all the name brand dropping and thinking Gossip girl invades the vampire world, it was a very good Read. Schulyver Van Alen is the misfit who doesn't fit into the mold of New York High Society. She wears clothes that make her look like a homeless runaway and doesn't bow down to the rich mean girls of the school. Soon she notices blue veins on her body and blackout and memories that have her tumbling back in time. A visit to Dr Pat, informs her she is a blue blood aka Vampire. These vampires came over on the Mayflower and are refered to as the 400. Only things are not normal as something is attacking them and the elders refuse to tell the new generation the truth. Schulvyer, Oliver who she learns is a servant to her, and Dylan who doesn't fit anywhere. There is a death of a classmate, strange attacks and more questions than answers. She learns she is only half vamp and must find her grandfather in order to live for eternity.
