What can I say? Lolita blew me away. I went in expecting to be grossed and creeped out. What I found instead was a novel constructed beautifully in its plot ascension and writing style. Now, do I like pedophiles? No. Do I like rapists? Hell no. I'm not saying any of that stuff is good, and you'd be an idiot to think I'd support that. I'm saying that Nabokov has written one of the best books I have ever read and created a phenomenon that won't be forgotten. Well, well done.
