I read this ten years ago and apparently really liked it but coming back to it now I find myself really annoyed by all the adults like the art teacher and Miss Priest being callous or mean to Jeremy. I like the overall theme of Jeremy raising a dragon and learning to love her and let go, but the adults in the book really put me off.
