i went into this book with high expectations, but unfortunately i was disappointed. the beginning of the book was hard to get into, and i almost dnf’d around 30%. however, i realized i dislike stopping partway through a book more than i could ever dislike any book itself. the second half of the book was significantly better than the first, and there are some beautifully written paragraphs, but as a whole it just didn’t work for me.
