"Some things are more important than fear." 🧡
This book was such a good end to the series (for now as I know there is another one to come at some point). But after years of simmering tension and frustration with Nesta, this book finally gives her the complex and powerful redemption arc she so desperately needed. Frankly, she was driving me a bit mad in previous installments, but watching her wrestle with her demons and emerge stronger was nothing short of breathtaking. Then on to Nesta and Cassian! Their slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers relationship was pure, unadulterated magic. The tension crackled off the pages, and watching them navigate their complicated feelings was utterly captivating. I adore a good enemies-to-lovers trope, and this book executes it with masterful precision. The emotional depth and raw vulnerability between them was simply exquisite.
This book was a wild ride, a whirlwind of emotions and plot twists that left my head spinning – in the best possible way! The sheer amount that happened kept me glued to the pages, and I couldn't put it down and of course, the happily ever after, even if it's only for now, was the perfect culmination of their journey.
