The Gift of the Other: Levinas, Derrida, and a Theology of Hospitality by Andrew Shepherd

3.0

some interesting engagement with Levinasian and Derridean ethics delimited by the author's commitment to a strictly Christian framework for said engagement. I personally would have liked less scripture and more praxis-based case studies on how hospitality can/does/can't/doesn't manifest in the world. also the author writes as though Levinas never acknowledged the question of justice, which he totes did. oh well.
