The Hero of Ages by Brandon Sanderson
5.0
Second read, 4/2020, 5/5
The beginning feels a bit messy, like there’s too many storylines being focused on, but the way that everything from the whole Mistborn trilogy is pulled together is nothing short of masterful and the ending had me in tears. Again. It makes the story bigger than any I’ve come across with each installment widening the scale: from a thieving crew with a grand mission to the world of politics and war all the way to things of godhood. It’s an adventure you won’t want to miss. Sure, there are some minor clumsiness in the execution at points, but with this cast of characters it’s hard to feel too bothered.
