I absolutely loved the first book in the series (5 stars) , and I didn’t feel that this one quite stacked up. However, I did very much enjoy continuing the story and the increasingly complex lore of this world. While I was a bit confused to start (I wish I had read book 1 closer to starting #2), I still very much recommend this book.
