This book was AMAZING.  Did I find it terrifying?  No.  But religious horror doesn’t really scare me like most people.  I will say the fact that a lot of my friends thought it was too scary to read at night, made me read it at night. 😆 While I didn’t find it terrifying, I did find it spooky.  And very violent and gory.  I loved it.  This book was really surprising though, because it was scary and yet heartbreaking.  I actually teared up one or two times, which is rare for me.  There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t enjoy about this book.  I was completely invested in the characters.  The writing was so beautiful I couldn’t put it down.  I just wanted to keep reading, and I never wanted the story to be over. I’m also a sucker for a book that takes place in my home state of Pennsylvania. Boys In the Valley is easily in my top 10 reads of the year.  I highly recommend this one!
