I genuinely loved how open Cameron was. He says he finds her attractive and that he’s jealous. The problem is that Adalyn doesn’t know what to do with that information, which was both annoying and sweet. Both main characters were annoying, though. Cam used “darling” way too excessively! Adalyn was a bit insufferable, and Cam doesn’t really have a personality. 

 

This book took way too long for me to finish, mostly because it felt like a 500-page book—but not a good one. There were good aspects, though: all the animals, especially the goats, the angst between Adalyn and Cam, and Adalyn’s mom, Marciela.
