This has an amazing premise, and the ensuing story is a rapid fire exercise in trying to maintain that. It largely succeeds, and I unexpectedly teared up twice. I think the decision to keep this short was a good one, but maybe an extra chapter or two would have helped me keep all the players correct in my head.
(I also await the addition of the cover for this book that matches all of Rain's other covers to the Storygraph database, so I can swap over to that one. It was on my KU borrow, so I know it exists!)
