This was a lovely light read. Plenty of sad themes throughout, but it was reflective and emotional in a way that left a hopeful feeling. Perfect vacation read!
I will note that the discussion of Jake’s eyesight is very ableist. I understand the grief of losing your eyesight, but there’s no hopeful ending to any of the discussions, which is sad.
