Dreamhearth by M.C.A. Hogarth

Set in Hogarth's Pelted science-fiction universe, this is the third book about Jahir and Vasiht'h, a pair of non-human xenopsychologists. I like the universe and love these two central characters, but would strongly encourage beginning with the opening installment in their story, Mindtouch, a quietly moving book that I entirely love. For me, this book hasn't got quite the gentle surety of Mindtouch, nor the intensity of Mindline (the second book), but it was still my delight to spend more time with Jahir and Vasiht'h, watching them find their way in the world. I plan to devour the rest of their adventures in short order. Highly recommended.

About my reviews: I try to review every book I read, including those that I don't end up enjoying. The reviews are not scholarly, but just indicate my reaction as a reader, reading being my addiction. I am miserly with 5-star reviews; 4 stars means I liked a book very much; 3 stars means I liked it; 2 stars means I didn't like it (though often the 2-star books are very popular with other readers and/or are by authors whose other work I've loved).
