i have this thing where i don't particularly love linda howard books, the most i've liked has been 3 stars at most, and i particularly dislike how she writes most of her heroes (too alpha male asshole for my liking) and the romances are either hit or miss for me (mostly miss because she has a tendency for insta-romance which can work for me but only in very specific cases) but for some reason i find her books a breeze to read through. anyway this book suffers from the problems i already mentioned but i did enjoy the heroine!
