This was an absolutely brilliant and beautiful book of poetry! My mom and I read poetry together every morning (she lives in Oklahoma, I live in Florida) and we have read many poetry books but none quite like this. I loved the journey Dunbar took us on and especially loved the power she exuded toward the end. There were many poems I couldn’t help but share online and people would respond to my story saying how much they needed to see it. Healing and nurturing, this is one book of poetry you must read this year.
