One of those books you could analyze for weeks. This story was so powerful and wonderfully executed.

I loved the complexity of the characters and their ties to each other, and while I wasn’t sure if I enjoyed the 3rd person omniscient narrator giving us so much insight into each character’s perspective and switching between them within sentences without the most clear distinction at times, it really grew on me and made the story even more rich.

Highly recommend for those who love a good multi-generational family saga with heart and stellar writing.
