Rules of Engagement by Brigham Vaughn

5.0

I've been waiting for Lindhy's story since the beginning of this series and at the same time, I was hoping it would take a little longer, because when you have so many expectations about something, you end up fearing that when the time comes, it will disappoint. But luckily, this was NOT the case.

[a:Brigham Vaughn|7578712|Brigham Vaughn|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1388354321p2/7578712.jpg] has a way of describing feelings and writing the scenes around them that really make you feel like you're in the middle of them.

Even though I ached for Anders, because his loss is something I can't even imagine, it's something I never want to have to go through, I really feel sorry for Kelly.

Despite believing that his feelings would never be reciprocated, he never wavered, never stopped showing his support and trying to bring a little lightness to Anders' life, as he tried to grow and adapt to his role with his team and his own overprotective family.

No one can decide for another how long one should grieve over a loss. For some it is more difficult than for others to let go of the past, and to understand that this does not mean that one stops loving the people one lost, but honors them by living the best life possible.

Luckily, Lindhy got to that point and was finally able to give Kelly and himself what they both truly deserve.

I love this series. Really love it. It has everything. Great characters, great love stories, great friendships, and a great plot, which I can't wait to see how it continues in the next book!

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
