4.5 - An age-gap romance between a 22 year old man-child and a 34 year old business woman who meet on an app that makes you take a quiz to discover what your kinks may be and then pairs you up based on how compatible your kinks are. She’s a first time “domme/brat-tamer”, he’s a first time “submissive/brat”. Neither are sure about the app’s accuracy, but are willing to give it a try and explore sides of themselves they never knew existed.

To sum up my thoughts before I get into the long version of this review: I loved it!! The smut was hot, the story engaging, and the characters memorable. The only thing preventing this from being a solid 5 stars was one single chapter that I really detested along with a few other small critiques here and there. Otherwise an entertaining read and I am definitely checking out the rest of the books in the series.

- This can be read as a stand-alone even though it’s apart of a series. I started with this one and had no issues with following any of the previous book’s plotlines.

- Beau!!! Bratty Beau is a new favorite romance character of mine. I love cocky assholes who are just overcompensating for their insecurities that they don’t want anyone to know about. On top of that, Beau felt fleshed out. His attitude problem, his rocky relationship with his parents, his love for drawing and Charlie’s sister, and his problematic dating history really just put him together as a character for me. Loved his pov chapters.

- The age gap. I looovveee age gap romances, especially when the women is the older one, but I often feel let down by them because sometimes you can’t feel the difference in age from the way the characters act, but that is not a complaint I have about this book!! I could definitely feel the age difference between them, especially with Beau’s character. He really came across as a young, egotistical 22 year old, where as Maggie came across as a confident, but still finding herself 34 year old. If you love age gap romances don’t skip this one!!

- The overall writing style. It has been a while since I really connected with the way an author writes so I’m happy I now have an entire series that I can read through with writing that I know I’ll enjoy
