Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia

5.0

"Like life, what gives a story its meaning is the fact that it ends. Our stories have lives of their own, and it’s up to us to make them mean something."

What a cute, endearing, lovable, captivating little read. I am in love with this story, and honestly I have no idea why. Why is this story so good. It's one of those stories you just can't put down... and you can't seem to pinpoint what made you love it so much.

If you are looking for a QUICK and simple read that doesn't take much effort but will draw you in.. this is the book for you. This would be a great fall read. It has a cozy vibe to it and takes place during the fall and winter holidays. It's great. I will definitely read this again in the future I think and I am definitely going to keep this on my shelves for my daughter to read when she gets older.

SPOILERS:

I loved pretty much everything about this book. BUT I can say, near the end.... Elizas character did start rubbing me the wrong way a little bit. There were some make or break moments for me. She was just kind of bratty and selfish. I know it was the goal of the author... and it did make her character who she was, but it did get to me a bit at the end. It all wrapped up well.. but... if she said "I can't" one more time I was done. lol.
