Benjamin Franklin's Last Bet: The Favorite Founder's Divisive Death, Enduring Afterlife, and Blueprint for American Prosperity by Michael Meyer

informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

4.0

The author provides a brief personal history on Franklin and then ends the book with excellent summaries of the 200 year trusts created by Franklin's will. I was a bit saddened to learn of the high level of greed, and often poor practices of the trustees of the trusts, but still an excellent story of far-reaching, and far-sighted, philanthropy.
