cute, cute, cute and CUTE!

idk what drugs were put into this book but I already know that I want to reread it (again) 😜

“Hey, Mills.”
I swallowed hard. He was the only person in the world who called me Mills. “Hey, Ford.”
“Long time.”
Ten years and three months.
But who’s counting?

While I'm not a massive fan of the friends to lovers trope, I can definitely get on board with it if there's a little strangers / torment thrown into the middle of it 😈 which (at least to my satisfaction) is exactly what we get in Coach !!!

“See you around, Millie.”
My Millie. Except she wasn’t mine anymore, was she? I’d lost her a long time ago when I’d walked away.
When I’d made the wrong choice for myself. And the right one for my daughter.

We are first introduced to Millie and Ford while they're studying for uni (college) and during the entire prologue ❤️‍🔥 VIBES ❤️‍🔥 lol it was such a tease of their friendship almost turning to lovers... and once the prologue ended and jumped ten years, I was EATING 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻 UP 👏🏻

I loved every single minute of Coach and have ZERO complaints.

“Kiss me, Millie.”
“But—”
“Do not argue with me. And don’t even think about leaving. You’re here for the whole night.”
“Sheesh.” She rolled her eyes. “You’re grumpy.”
“Another man kissed you today. Fuck yes, I’m grumpy.”
Her gaze softened. “I’m sorry.”
“Then kiss me.”

The 🌶🌶🌶 scenes were few but well worth it imo and the sports in this sports romance was top tier 👌🏻

While I don't completely understand American Football, the scenes ft. atmosphere / passion / game day buzz and fans were SPOT. ON. with my experiences as a football ⚽️ fan.

“Still get a little crazy at the games?”
Millie blushed and dropped her gaze to the floor. “Maybe.”
The Millie I remembered was the loudest person in the stadium. When we scored, she’d scream like she’d run the ball into the endzone herself. When the refs made a bad call, she’d go ballistic. And when we won, her cheers could be heard across the field.
That, or I’d just always listened for Millie.

Definitely a new comfort read 🙌🏻 and I'm keen for the rest of the Treasure State Wildcat series.
