Have you ever wanted to get revenge on a toxic boss?
Vanessa is let go of her job for "not having a good face", and "a having a dark soul". (She fosters kittens guys c'mon!) After being subjected to months of office torture, disrespect, and outrageous office activities this is her final straw. Along with two of her coworkers, they hatch a plan relying on The Art of War and too much alcohol.
I rarely laugh out loud when reading, but this book has me rolling around the entire time. There was not a single chapter where I didn't enjoy myself, and the shenanigans. The flashbacks to the Office Olympics literally killed me, I almost couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard. Never have I wished for a book to be reality, and be able to exact this type of revenge on some of my past bosses.
Favorite Moments: The Bridge Brigade, office flashbacks, the glitter bomb
I can't wait to read what the author writes next!
Also can we talk about this cover? I am so obsessed with it! Perfect symbolism, love how she is going to pop the balloons! Elizabeth Turner Stokes always nails the perfect book cover!
