The Book of Witching by C.J. Cooke
3.0
This book is so hard to rate. I was invested throughout the whole book. But the content at times was really hard to get through. The torture. Ugh. It was rough. I mean stuff like this has really happened so it’s realistic but I wasn’t expecting that type of content. Keep in mind this is part historical fiction (which I didn’t realize) based on the synopsis, I expected present day story. I do think that that past was well done. The story was well written and you definitely experience the emotional toll the characters do.
I just also feel like the revelations weren’t too unexpected. I felt like you knew how the story would go throughout so it was just how do we arrive there. This was a good read but it wasn’t my fav.
