A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole

5.0

I read this because i heard it was one of Bill Hicks' favorite books. I gotta tell you Bill had excellent taste. In my experience i've never seen a character quite like Ignatius. Despite him being iffy morally there's still something admirable about him that makes you root for him. Its a strange effect. this is a stunningly original work of prose. I do think it lagged in certain parts but that's about the only complaint i have. Fun fact: This is my first Pulitzer novel i've read willingly. I'll close out by asking How the fuck did no publisher want to publish this masterpiece? Bastards robbed us of more Toole novels.
