Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
5.0
By chapter 1 I was hooked on this book. It starts off with a bang and the rest of the book keeps you guessing the entire time. This was the best thriller I’ve ever read. The details and the backstory were so well written. I was really drawn to the individuality of each character. The author did a great job, showing how complicated a family can be; The highs, lows an d everything in between
This book was insane. That’s the only word I can use to describe it, because I truly did not, and could not predict anything that happened in it. I kept predicting one part was going to happen, and then the story took a complete 180.
This book may be laugh and cry, and feel all types of emotion. There was a lot of violence throughout the book. It was a lot, but I think it was necessary to show the effect of the characters and how the level of brutality in the book affected the characters.
I 1000% would recommend this book to anyone who loves a thriller!!! I would just be careful about trigger warnings because there is a lot of violence, and it was sometimes hard to hear. This was a longer read, but the pacing of the book always kept me guessing and engaged.
