Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross

4.0

“Write me a story where there is no ending, Kitt. Write to me and fill my empty spaces.”

I don’t think I can fully comprehend in words how this book made me. One moment I was crying and then panicking in another—that’s how beautiful Rebecca Ross’s writing is. This book defines the meaning of grief, agony, love, and hope on a deeper level, and you can’t help but feel them deep in your bones. I think what makes this duology much more special is it doesn’t only focus on the main characters but also the people around them—each has a story of their own that contributed to how everything transpired and concluded.

As someone who loves writing and words, I find Letters of Enchantment Duology to hold a special place in my heart. In hindsight, Roman and Iris made me feel understood, especially with the feeling of constantly longing for someone who can understand me through my thoughts and the words I write on paper—for someone to fill my empty spaces.

To describe this duology as ‘something that shattered and made me whole at the same time’ is an understatement.
