Little Bird Lost by Jessie Walker

5.0

Writing this review was extremely difficult, perhaps the most difficult of all the reviews I've ever had to write, because I need to say how AMAZING this book is, and how BRILLIANT [a:Jessie Walker|835380|Jessie Walker|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/u_50x66-632230dc9882b4352d753eedf9396530.png] is, without letting out a single word about the story, of this book, of who its protagonists are, of what each one goes through. Because whoever wants to read it is much much better if they go in BLIND.

First of all, check the triggers. The author details them on her website. But keep in mind that this story is dark, as the author would say, PITCH DARK, so it's not for everyone.

Continuing with the review, as I was saying, there is nothing better than entering the world of this book blindfolded. And let the call of the birds attract you and once you are deep inside, take off the blindfold and let the darkness of the story envelop you and make you feel the horror of what happens inside the Aviary. And the horror you will feel. That I can assure you. And no, it's not a fictional horror story, there are no vampires, there are no aliens, there are no ghosts. But there are MONSTERS. Real monsters. The kind that are made of human flesh and skin, that are supposed to have a beating heart but instead are devoid of feeling. Of those monsters that are only interested in satisfying their own pleasure, all their perverse desires no matter how. The Aviary is like hell on earth, only instead of the DEVIL, we have the FOWLER, and in my opinion, he is infinitely worse in his depravity.

But beyond all that, one has to keep advancing in the story, because the surprises do not end, and wonderful things happen, like realizing that we never have to give up, that we find strength within ourselves when we believe we have been defeated, and that sometimes the ties forged in the most terrible circumstances are the ones that keep us sane and alive.

READ IT AND LET IT BLOW YOUR MIND.

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
