Happy Place by Emily Henry
5.0
Emily Henry just keeps on delivering! Her newest wildly popular release, Happy Place, focuses on a couple as part of a tight knit friend group. The couple, Harriet and Wyn, have actually broken up, but decide to fake it in front of their friends, unwilling to face what this means for their friendships especially as it is their last summer in their ultimate happy place, a beach house they’ve come to each year since college.
I cried, I giggled, I related to Harriet in unexpected ways and I just felt this constant amazement at how well Henry writes people and dialogue. I’m very pleased that her next book is already announced. Also it’s so nice that there’s vegan side characters (though maybe main characters next time, please?).
